Alvaro Cuervo Cazurra
Alvaro Cuervo-Cazurra is a Professor of International Business and Strategy at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business and the Center for Emerging Markets. As a global strategy scholar, he focuses on understanding how context affects value creation, especially in emerging markets. His research centers on global strategic management and global sustainable governance, which he analyzes using economics-based thinking.
His work has been published in leading academic journals. His research quality has been recognized through several honors, including being elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and receiving an Honorary Doctorate from Copenhagen Business School. He has also received a Silver Medal from the Journal of International Business Studies, multiple best paper awards, and a best dissertation award from the Academy of Management.
